Taraba Law Students Honour Prof. Benedicta Daudu





The Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) and the National Association of Muslim Law Students (NAMLAS) in Taraba State, have congratulated the Dean of faculty of Law, Taraba State University, Jalingo, Prof Benedicta Daudu, on her recent promotion to the rank of professor of law.


The leadership of both associations in separate congratulatory visits lauded Daudu on her recent feat, which they said, was earned through her hard work and dedication to assigned duties. 

LAWSON under the leadership of Comrade Stephen Garba Ekunda, in a visit described Prof. Benedicta as a thorough bred scholar, a woman of honour, sound character and unquestionable integrity. 


Speaking further, Ekunda prayed that her promotion will open the doors of more international awards and recognitions for the law don.


While reacting, the Dean who was highly elated on receiving the association reiterated her commitment to take the faculty to the next level. 


She shared her optimism that her law students would make her proud when they eventually get to the Nigerian law school.


She further commended the perseverance and ingenuity of the law students of Taraba State University in their quest to learn and succeed despite the hard weather conditions.


Ekunda was led by Examinations Officer Mr. Walmak Gupar; accompanied by the Secretary General, Mr Tapu Rims Joel; Chairman, Journals and Press Committee,  Mr Abel Chukwu; Director of Public Prosecutions, Ibrahim Maimoto, amongst others. 


On its part, NAMLAS led by its Interim President, Mr. Ahmadu Yahaya Leme, to visit the Dean, said members of the association received with joy the news of Daudu's recent elevation.


He also pledged the association's readiness to continue supporting her in her vision and mission for the faculty.


In her remarks, Daudu tasked members of the delegation to remain steadfast, dedicated and committed to their studies.


The NAMLAS delegation was led by its  President, Mr Ahmadu yahaya Leme; accompanied by the Staff Adviser of the Association, Barr Awwal Haruna Malami; the Secretary General, Mr Kabiru Musa Walama; 


Others are: Mr Ahmadu Zakari; Ismail Usman; Miss Fatima Musa, Mr Bin-uthman Ahmed and Gaddafi Ibrahim of the Public Relations Directorate.
